Brymo – Heya!

 

Prolific Nigerian singer-songwriter Brymo has just commissioned the scintillating visuals of “Heya!”, the lead single off his just released sixth studio album “OṢÓ”.

The 11 track body of work which was just put out features some of the finest creations which have ever seen from Brymo and “Heya!”, the third track on the album, is one of more notable ones.

Of course, Brymo comes through on the track with his characteristic soul-searching lyrics, delivered with those sincere, earnest vocals that are as compelling as ever.

Even though Brymo’s undeniable songwriting and singing abilities are further underscored on “Heya!”, it’s the brilliant music video which was directed by Ayomikun Oludoyi that attracts more attention.

On the video which was shot strategically in Lagos, Brymo alights from a water vessel and walks ashore surprisingly naked, save for a little brown leathery looking piece which barely conceals his genitals.

Brymo walks to a grand piano that’s right there on the open, and begins to play and sing with raw passion. All of this is brilliantly captured, alongside other scintillating aerial shots, right in the midst of some of Lagos’ busiest highways.
