Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, the brilliant Nigerian surgeon in Texas

 

Nigeria is truly blessed with great men who are reforming the name of the country internationally and one of them is Dr Oluyinka Olutoye.

 Education

Dr Oluyinka Olutoye started his career from Obafemi Awolowo college of medicine where he begged his MBBS in the year 1988.

He went to Howard University Medical college for his internship where he majored on Pediatrics 1991.

In the year 1993  his residency was from Medical College of

Virginia specialising in general surgery,from same college he became a research fellow( Research

Dr Oluyinka Olutoye recently had another break through in surgery when he operated on a baby by removing a tumour from her while still in her mother's womb successfully.



Dr Oluyinka Olutoye and his medical team successfully operated on a 23 week old foetus at the Texas Children’s Hospital in the United states of america.



“The baby, Lynlee Hope, who was diagnosed of a tumour

known as Sacrococcygeal Teratoma, was removed from

her mother’s womb, operated on, and returned to the

womb.



“The baby recovered and continued to grow until she

was finally delivered at 36 weeks.”

The president of Nigeria hope to meet with Dr Olutoye soon to congratulate him On his great work and also commend him for positively propagating the countries name.
